Our 2013 Collection

Yippeeeeeee !!!!! The sounds of two very happy Mums are ringing out as we almost reach the end of this years production line. On the other hand we are quite sad as it means no more crafting with each other until next February................................................Guess we will just have to meet up and drink coffee and eat cake instead.

Everything is coming together nicely and as long as the weather plays fair we will be off to our various craft fairs very soon. As usual we have laughed and laughed some more whilst inventing and creating some gorgeous (even if we do say so ourselves) gifts for all the family.

Glue Gun Disaster.

Things are well underway at Crafty Mama HQ and the craft room now resembles a scene from Take Hart with scissors, paint, ribbons, card, paper and not forgetting our essential glue guns strategically placed around the table and floor.

I don't know how we coped without glue guns in the past and these days you can hear the dulcet cries escaping through the windows as one of us regularly sticks ourselves to something or worse burns their finger thus resulting in a nasty blister and no sensation ......................I must point out that even though it was jolly painful no swear words were used in the process of this. We are ladies you know....................................

Anyway, everything is going to plan and we have produced some gorgeous goodies to show at the local Craft Fairs. We did have one disaster recently when we tried to gently sponge a rust coloured paint around the edges of a wooden Gingerbread Man tree decoration. I am afraid to say this little fellow didn't make it as he looked like he had just witnessed a Mafia type killing, the idea of putting him on our stall for all the kids to see would of been to distressing and may of caused tears................................Unfortunately there was no salvation as the colour was too dark for us to paint over.........................He is now known as John Doe and sits quite happily watching us craft.

With Christmas being only 62 days away things have stepped up a level now and we find ourselves happily crafting all morning a few times a week. I am sure my neighbours must wonder what on earth we are doing as screams of laughter ring out every now and again.........................................................What are we laughing at????...........................Well........................................That would be telling now wouldn't it.

Welcome

3 years ago a homemade jar of dog treats inspired 2 mums to pool their knowledge of all things crafty and begin a long and sometimes hysterical journey into the unknown. Each year as September approached these 2 ladies met in a conservatory and over many......Many cups of tea began to plot and plan a range of Christmas goodies to make for their local craft fairs.

Today they are still going strong and even though sometimes it all gets a bit crazy they continue to laugh until their sides hurt. Tales of fingers getting stuck to glue guns and electric saws almost chopping conservatories clean in half ring out through their town.

With the love and support of their families they are lovingly known to all their friends as.............................

Hello and welcome to our brand new blog page, as its says up above we have been crafting for many years and are both extremely passionate about it. We are great friends and have an absolute scream whilst up to our necks in paint, glue and glitter. This blog page will be mainly to show you some of the things we create as well as recounting some of the funny stories that happen to us along the way.......And trust me when I say there will be funny stories to tell.
